Our council members are committed to supporting a justice system that is fair and impartial. Since our inception in 1977, we believe a strong and thriving Black community is the first step to supporting the health and wellness of all communities. SBAC also believes that a healthy community can advocate for itself and establish cultural norms that promote resiliency, adaptability, and prevent crime.
SBAC has a tradition of identifying Black families in need and offering essential support. We understand the link between limited resources and crime. Our goal is to provide support to our community and strategies to leaders that promote equity and liberty.
SBAC understands that representing the community includes hearing from that community. We also believe that we are called to raise the next generation by including them in the discussions that impact their communities. This does not mean asking the youth to solve problems, but sustaining a platform for them to contribute to evaluations and actions for success.
